Your Relationships

This is the time you have to look at your relationships and ask the question:  What is this relationship doing to me?

There are two types of relationships:  toxic relationships and nourishing relationships.

Nourishing relationships are people you can count on, they are dependable, they are reliable, they will come through for you.

Toxic relationships are energy vampires.

John Leslie Brown, also known as High Hopes, is a motivational speaker and Hip Hop artists, once said:

“as you look at your life, ask the question: who should you count on and who should you count out?”

Think about that!

Give yourself an upgrade!

Hi, this is Les Brown, Mrs. Mamie Brown’s Baby Boy!

When you fly, particularly in coach, you always have the option to request to be upgraded. Of course sometimes, it will cost you more money.

On the same token, I was thinking that we can look at ourselves, we can look at our lives, we can look at our relationships and decide that we are going to upgrade.  We can upgrade our level commitment, our physical fitness or our physical appearance, we can upgrade our income, our standard of living.

As you look at yourself, what area of your life do you know you need an upgrade?

Think about that and decide to give yourself an upgrade!

Courage to live your dreams!

Hello, this is Les Brown, Mrs. Mamie Brown’s baby boy!

You know it’s been said “No guts, no glory“.

Willy Jolly, who made a million dollars every 17 hours with Amway, talked about the fact that in order to live your dreams you have to have guts, you need to have courage, the courage to keep going and keep on even if you have setbacks and disappointments, because eventually, you will have a breakthrough!

Jolly said “A setback is a set up for a comeback” Know today you have comeback power!

What is it that you are willing to sacrifice? What is it you are willing to stand up for?

Stand up for what you believe in because you can fall for anything. Think about that!

Combating Fear

Hi! This is Les Brown, Mrs. Mamie Brown’s Baby Boy!

It has been said that whenever there is a conflict between your mind and your heart, follow your heart because your heart will lead you to your dreams, and your mind will lead you towards your fears.

On a daily basis, we spend our time fearful of taking ourselves to a higher level because of bills, the economy, our children, or other responsibilities.  Over 80% of us spend our time going to jobs that we hate, which is why the majority of the heart attacks hapen on Monday morning because we are going to jobs that we despise and ourheart attacks us, literally.

We have to stop being fearful of life. Zig Ziglar said that “fear is nothing but False Evidence Appearing Real”.

Ladies and gentlemen, life is short.  As you read this right now, think of all the things you wanted to accomplish in life that you haven’t because you haven’t been able to get out of your own way.

Is there a business inside you that  you haven’t started because of fear?

Is there a book or a play that is going to die inside you if you don’t take action?

What about that college degreee you never finished because you had to take care of the kids?

Whatever it is, follow your heart and make it happen! Live full and die empty; forget your fears and remember your heart!

In pursuit of  GREATNESS,

Les Brown

Welcome to The Real Les Brown Blog

Hello, this is Les Brown, Mrs. Mamie Brown’s baby boy.

Today I will ask:

What is your dream?

Have you been putting effort and sometimes it feels like it’s not making any difference?

I found that if you just hold the vision and do what you can do, God will do what you can’t do.  Just because you can’t see any impact or any difference doesn’t mean that things are not shaping up for you. Trust me on this! Continue to do what you can do and you will thrive through persistence and perseverance, you will eventually snatch victory from the jaws of deceit.

I see that for you, I claim that for you, I see that in existence for you, for you and your dream.

Get out of your head and into your greatness!
